The Role
We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Python to build and scale the backend systems that power MethodTech's investment platform.
This is a hands-on role where you'll work directly with the founder on core infrastructure, backend architecture, APIs, data systems, and the technology behind our investment and analytics products.
You'll have significant ownership over technical decisions and will play an important role in building systems that are reliable, scalable, and capable of handling complex financial data and workflows.
What You'll Do
Design, build, and maintain robust backend systems using Python.
Develop scalable backend architectures for MethodTech's investment platform.
Build and maintain APIs and services that power our frontend and product workflows.
Work with complex financial and structured datasets to build reliable data-driven systems.
Translate complex business and financial requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Design systems with a focus on performance, reliability, maintainability, and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend engineers, product, and design teams to deliver end-to-end product features.
Debug complex technical issues and identify efficient, elegant solutions.
Participate in code reviews and maintain high engineering standards.
