Role Description The Business Development Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue growth for One Million SqFt. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting and meeting potential clients, preparing and delivering presentations, negotiating commercial terms, and following up on leads to close deals. The individual will collaborate with marketing, operations, and project teams to develop proposals, pricing strategies, and customized solutions that meet client requirements. The role also involves tracking market trends, maintaining an active sales pipeline, reporting on performance metrics, and representing the company at industry events and client meetings.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably in real estate, property, or related sectors.
Strong client relationship management skills, including the ability to understand client needs, build trust, and maintain long-term partnerships.




Proficiency in prospecting, lead generation, and opportunity qualification, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and close complex deals.
Solid analytical and planning abilities, including pipeline management, forecasting, and use of CRM or sales tools.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and coordinate proposals, pricing, and service delivery.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is an advantage.
Comfort working in a rapid-paced, on-site environment in Chennai, with readiness for client visits, meetings, and local travel as required.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and self-motivation, with strong organizational and time management skills.
