Role Description The Workshop Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Indore, supporting day-to-day operations within the company’s workshop and logistics area. Responsibilities include assisting with loading and unloading packages, organizing and labeling freight, and helping maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in clean and safe condition. The role involves supporting routine maintenance tasks, checking basic equipment functionality, and reporting issues to supervisors.
The Workshop Assistant also helps prepare shipments for dispatch, follows standard operating procedures, and collaborates with drivers and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely deliveries.
Qualifications
Ability to perform basic manual handling tasks, including protected lifting, moving, and organizing packages and freight.
Basic understanding of workshop safety practices and willingness to follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
Strong attention to detail for labeling, documentation, and accurate handling of shipments.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, drivers, and team members.
Reliability, punctuality, and a consistent work ethic in a fast-paced, on-site environment.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills; prior experience in logistics, warehousing, or workshop support is an advantage.
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying warehouse or workshop
