Role Description The Air and Ocean Import Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai,



responsible for managing end-to-end import operations for air and ocean freight. The role includes coordinating with overseas agents, carriers, and customers to ensure timely booking, shipment tracking, documentation, and customs clearance. The specialist will prepare and verify import documentation, monitor shipments from origin to destination, and resolve operational issues to maintain service quality and compliance. Daily tasks involve updating internal systems, communicating shipment status, managing billing and cost approvals, and supporting key accounts with accurate and timely information. The role also requires close collaboration with internal teams to optimize processes, maintain customer satisfaction, and uphold company standards for efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of air and ocean import procedures, international trade terms (Incoterms), and basic customs clearance practice
