Company Description Ooru is a city app designed to bring all of Bengaluru into one accessible, organized place. It consolidates events, local news, transit updates, food recommendations, civic reporting, and practical Kannada learning into a single platform, reducing the friction of navigating city life. Users can discover happenings across Bengaluru, plan journeys using BMTC and Namma Metro routes with fares, explore curated food spots, and stay updated through a unified news feed. Ooru also integrates with BBMP for civic issue reporting and fosters a community of residents and explorers who help shape the product as it evolves. The app is currently available on Android via invite-only early access and continues to grow alongside the city it reflects.
Role Description This is a full-time, remote Co-Founder (equity-based) role focused on driving Ooru’s product, growth, and long-term vision. Day-to-day responsibilities may include defining and refining the product roadmap, collaborating on feature design,



and coordinating with designers and engineers to deliver high-quality app experiences. The Co-Founder will actively shape Ooru’s go-to-market strategy, community-building initiatives, and partnerships with local organizations, transit bodies, and civic groups. Responsibilities also include setting measurable goals, tracking user feedback and analytics, and iterating quickly to improve engagement and retention. As a core leadership team member, the Co-Founder will contribute to fundraising efforts, operational decision-making, and establishing a sustainable business model for the app.

Qualifications
Product leadership skills, including experience in product strategy, user research, prioritization, and roadmap ownership for consumer-facing apps or platforms.
Strong execution skills across operations and project management, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional work and deliver outcomes in rapid-paced, early-stage environments.
