Role Description

As a Java Technical Lead at California Software, you will take technical ownership of the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade Java applications and backend services.

This is a full-time,



in office role based in Chennai and requires a strong hands-on technical leader who can lead a development team while continuing to contribute to architecture, development, code reviews, debugging, and technical problem-solving.

You will be responsible for designing scalable backend architectures using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA/Hibernate, REST APIs, and Microservices. You will provide technical direction to developers, review code for quality, security, scalability, and performance, and ensure engineering best practices are consistently followed.

The role involves translating product and business requirements into technical solutions, mentoring developers, resolving complex development and production issues, optimizing application and database performance, and coordinating with frontend, mobile, QA, DevOps, product, and business teams.
