Eutierria Ventures, the team behind pause..., a plant-based café in Bandra, Mumbai, is looking for a passionate Commis 1/2 - Bakery to join our kitchen team.

At pause..., we believe good food starts with good ingredients. Our bakery focuses on thoughtfully made, plant-based breads, baked goods and desserts, with an emphasis on quality, freshness and consistency.

What you’ll be responsible for
Production of breads, baked goods, cookies and desserts
Following recipes accurately and maintaining consistent quality, taste and presentation
Maintaining correct portion sizes, recipes and production standards
Proper storage and inventory management, including adherence to FIFO
Following food handling, hygiene, sanitation and food safety standards
Minimising wastage through efficient preparation and storage
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the bakery and equipment
Working with both traditional and modern baking techniques




Supporting the team during service and high-volume production periods
Assisting with current product development and continuous improvement

What we’re looking for
2-3 years of experience in a professional bakery, café, restaurant or pastry kitchen
Hands-on experience with breads, baked goods and/or desserts
Valuable understanding of bakery production and kitchen operations
Knowledge of plant-based baking is preferred
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
Good understanding of hygiene and food safety practices
A collaborative mindset and ability to work well as part of a team
