Role: Head of Finance

A quick-growing e-commerce company is looking to hire a Head of Finance to lead the finance function and partner closely with leadership on business performance, financial planning, and financial governance.
This role will combine business finance, controllership, and strategic financial oversight, while working closely with business teams to drive disciplined growth and operational efficiency. The position requires a hands-on leader who can build strong financial processes while enabling data-backed decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Business Finance & Strategic Partnering

- Partner with leadership, category, growth, and operations teams on financial performance and decision-making
- Drive monthly business reviews, KPI tracking, and performance analysis
- Provide insights on revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost optimization
- Support strategic initiatives including pricing, expansion, and operational efficiency

Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budgeting, operating plans, and rolling forecasts
- Drive variance analysis against budgets and prior periods
- Support scenario planning and financial modeling for business initiatives
- Build long-term financial plans aligned with growth strategy

Revenue, Margin & Unit Economics
- Track unit economics, contribution margins, and category-level profitability
- Analyze pricing strategies, discount structures, and promotional effectiveness
- Monitor revenue drivers and cost structures to improve profitability





Controllership & Financial Governance
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting processes, and compliance
- Ensure strong financial controls and adherence to accounting standards
- Partner with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders where required
- Strengthen internal processes, policies, and financial discipline

Working Capital & Inventory Management
- Oversee working capital management including inventory and vendor cycles
- Track inventory turns, ageing, and cash conversion cycle metrics
- Work with operations and supply chain teams to improve capital efficiency

MIS, Reporting & Systems
- Build robust MIS frameworks and performance dashboards
- Ensure reporting accuracy, transparency, and automation where possible
- Strengthen financial systems and data infrastructure to support scale

Investor & Leadership Support
- Support investor reporting and board presentations
- Provide financial insights to leadership on strategic and operational decisions
- Drive special projects and strategic analyses as required

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Chartered Accountant (mandatory)
- 8–12 years of experience across business finance, FP&A;, and controllership
- Experience in e-commerce, consumer internet, D2C, FMCG, or high-growth startups preferred
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and business partnering capabilities
- Experience managing financial reporting, controls, and compliance
- Hands-on leader comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
