About the Role

We are looking for a Textile Designer with 3–6 years of experience to develop seasonal collections for leading international retailers with a strong Scandinavian design aesthetic.

This role requires someone who can translate consumer insights and trends into commercially successful products across multiple categories. You will work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Sampling and Technical teams from concept through sample development.

Skills & Experience

- 3–6 years of experience in home textile design.
- Graduate from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 design institute such as NID, NIFT, Pearl Academy or an equivalent institution.
- Proven experience designing for export markets.
- Strong portfolio across Top of Table, Curtains, Cushions and Kitchen Linen.
- Good understanding of Scandinavian aesthetics, colour, materials and construction.
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience creating production-ready CADs, repeats, colourways and technical specifications.
- Strong presentation, communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

Plan





- Develop seasonal collections from concept through sampling.
- Research consumer, retail and design trends to identify new opportunities.
- Benchmark international retailers and competitor collections.
- Plan and deliver collections within agreed development timelines.

Create

- Develop original product concepts across Top of Table, Curtains, Cushions and Kitchen Linen.
- Create mood boards, colour palettes, material stories and product directions.
- Prepare CADs, repeats, mock-ups, presentation boards and technical artwork.
- Work with Product Development and Sampling teams to translate concepts into production-ready products.
- Ensure collections reflect customer requirements while maintaining a robust design point of view.

Collaborate

- Work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, CAD, Sampling and Technical teams.
- Participate in collection reviews and customer presentations.
- Maintain seasonal documentation, design libraries and artwork archives.
- Mentor junior designers and provide guidance during collection development.

Commercial Acumen

- Develop products using the Desirability, Feasibility and Viability framework.
- Desirability: Create products that respond to consumer needs, lifestyle trends and customer expectations.
- Feasibility: Design products that can be manufactured efficiently using available materials, techniques and production capabilities.
- Viability: Develop commercially successful products that meet target costs, support healthy margins and deliver strong order conversion.
- Balance creativity with functionality, manufacturability and commercial objectives.
- Understand the relationship between design decisions, costing and product performance.
