Role Description The Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimizing ASIC/SoC designs from RTL to GDSII, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and timing closure. Daily tasks include running physical verification checks, analyzing timing, power, and area reports, and collaborating with logic and RTL design teams to resolve design and integration issues. The role involves working closely with circuit design and verification engineers to ensure design sign-off quality and adherence to performance and power targets.



This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, requiring regular coordination with cross-functional teams and participation in design reviews.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Physical Design, including floorplanning, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis, and timing closure.
Proficiency in Physical Verification tasks such as DRC, LVS, and metal density checks using industry-standard EDA tools.
Solid understanding of Logic Design and Circuit Design principles, including combinational and sequential circuits, timing concepts, and power optimization.
Hands-on experience with RTL Design, including synthesis constraints, design for testability (DFT), and collaboration with RTL and verification teams.
Familiarity with industry EDA tools (e.g., Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor) and scripting languages such as Tcl, Python, or Perl for flow automation.
