Role Description The Linux Specialist is a full time remote role responsible for maintaining, administering, and optimizing Linux-based systems that support LotusTelco’s telecom infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include managing servers and operating systems, monitoring system performance and availability, and implementing updates, patches, and security configurations. The role involves troubleshooting system and network issues, collaborating with engineering and support teams, and documenting configurations, procedures,



and incident resolutions. The Linux Specialist also contributes to infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives, and best practices to ensure robust, secure, and scalable platforms for VoIP and UCaaS services.
Qualifications
Strong Linux System Administration skills, including experience with major distributions and command-line tools.
Solid understanding of Operating Systems concepts, including processes, memory management, filesystems, and networking.
Experience working with Unix environments and related tools in production settings.
Proficiency in Troubleshooting system, application, and network issues in complex infrastructures.
Knowledge of Infrastructure components such as virtualized environments, cloud platforms, storage, and monitoring tools.
Familiarity with telecom or VoIP environments (SIP, RTP, network protocols) is an asset.
