This role is responsible for end-to-end contracts and quantity surveying support across projects from reviewing architectural plans and preparing BOQs, to drafting tender and contract documents, and negotiating costs with contractors. It involves conducting feasibility studies and budget estimation, evaluating bids, processing work orders and variation claims, and monitoring project costs against budgets. The role also covers valuation of completed work, timely payment facilitation, maintaining the contract register for compliance and expiry tracking, and analysing project data for ROI and cost benchmarking, while supporting the Head of Contracts in standardising templates and procurement processes.
Responsibilities
Reviewing architectural plans and preparing quantity requirements for feasibility and tendering purposes.
Preparation of Tender documents, Contract documents, and detailed BOQs in coordination with architects and consultants.
Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs; supporting budget preparation for current projects.
Analyzing and negotiating costs for tenders and contracts; evaluating contractor bids and recommendations.
Monitoring work progress and cost incurred across projects to ensure alignment with planned budgets.
Performing valuation of completed works and facilitating timely payment arrangements.
Preparation and finalization of Work Orders, amendments, and supplementary agreements.
Evaluating and processing extra/variation claims from contractors in coordination with site and engineering teams.
Maintaining a contract register across all projects – tracking expiry, performance, and compliance.
Analysing completed project data to assess ROI and conduct post-project cost analysis.
Benchmarking contractor rates and market pricing to ensure cost competitiveness.
Allocating and coordinating sub-contractor scope in line with project requirements.
