About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Team Lead Data Engineer with 12–15 years of experience who combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership and business engagement capabilities. This role requires a self-driven professional who can independently lead data initiatives, engage directly with business stakeholders, gather and analyze requirements, and translate business challenges into scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate will not wait for tasks to be assigned but will proactively identify opportunities, recommend cutting-edge solutions, and drive projects from concept through implementation and production support. They will serve as a trusted technical advisor, influencing architectural decisions, mentoring team members, and ensuring successful delivery of high-quality data solutions for the US education industry.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration workflows across multiple systems.



• Work with stakeholders in the US education domain to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions. • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-optimized data models.
Additional Key Responsibilities
• Take complete ownership of data engineering initiatives from business requirement gathering through design, development, deployment, and production support.
• Engage directly with business stakeholders, product owners, and leadership teams to understand business objectives and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead discovery sessions, requirement workshops, and technical discussions while providing strategic recommendations based on data and business needs.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, data quality, and data architecture rather than waiting for assigned tasks.
