Requirements
Role Mission
As a PLC Software Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle for Traction Power System customer projects. You will ensure that automation and protection solutions meet technical specifications, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Project Initiation:
Actively participate in internal and external project kick-off meetings to define software requirements and project scope.
Technical Review: Analyze tender documents and customer specifications against company standards and cost calculations to ensure technical feasibility and alignment.
Software Development: Perform comprehensive PLC and HMI engineering, including the creation of logic flowcharts and PLC programming.
Application Design: Develop and configure software applications for PLCs and specialized Protection Relays, and potentially HMI interfaces.
Testing & Validation: Provide critical support to the production team during functional testing and lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers when required.
Field & Commissioning Support: Support the commissioning team and provide remote or in office troubleshooting for live projects at the request of the Project Manager.
