Role Description The Advocate (IDT) will work in office in the Mumbai office in a full-time capacity, focusing on matters related to Indirect Taxation. Daily responsibilities include researching and interpreting GST, Customs, FTP, Service Tax,



and Central Excise laws and regulations, as well as assisting in drafting opinions, responses to notices, appeals, and other legal documents. The role involves supporting clients in litigation and representation before appropriate tax authorities and tribunals, preparing case files, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely documentation. The Advocate will also review client records for compliance, identify tax-related risks, and contribute to internal knowledge-building through updates, training, and drafting technical notes. Collaboration with partners and senior professionals to deliver high-quality advisory and dispute-resolution services is a key aspect of this position.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Indirect Tax laws (GST, Customs, FTP, Service Tax, and Central Excise) and ability to interpret relevant statutes, rules, and notifications.
