* Develop accurate 3D structural steel models using SDS/2.
* Create connections in accordance with project requirements and applicable U.S. standards.
* Coordinate with detailing, engineering, and project management teams.
* Review design revisions and incorporate changes into the model.
* Ensure model quality prior to detailing and fabrication.
Steel Detailer / Drafter
* Prepare shop drawings and erection drawings from SDS/2 models.
* Generate fabrication drawings, anchor bolt plans, and field installation details.
* Prepare Bills of Material (BOM) and Material Take-Offs (MTO).
* Maintain drawing quality and ensure compliance with project specifications.
* Coordinate RFIs and revisions with internal teams.
Steel Detailing Checker
* Review 3D models, shop drawings, erection drawings, and fabrication packages for accuracy and completeness.
* Verify compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and applicable U.S. standards.
* Check member marks, dimensions, welds, bolts, material lists, and connection details.
* Ensure drawings are fabrication- and erection-ready before release.
* Mentor detailing teams and maintain quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working on U.S. structural steel projects.
* Proficiency in SDS/2 (Tekla experience is an added advantage).
* Solid understanding of AISC, AWS D1.1, OSHA erection practices, and common U.S. fabrication standards.
* Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to quality.
