About the Role
Emeritus is expanding beyond its core executive education business to bring its proprietary AI platform — built on top of its custom Canvas-based LMS — directly to universities and colleges. We're looking for a Business Development Representative to drive top-of-funnel pipeline for this new SaaS line of business, setting qualified appointments with senior academic and technology leaders at higher-education institutions worldwide.
This is a high-impact, full-time role at the ground floor of a rapid-growing business line, working closely with sales leadership to build and refine outbound prospecting into a scalable, repeatable motion.




Success in this role is measured against industry-standard outbound call volume and conversion metrics for appointment-setting, with clear targets set collaboratively during onboarding.

What You'll Do
Prospect and set qualified appointments for sales leadership, targeting Provosts, CIOs, and Academic Technology leaders at Tier 2 institutions.
Execute persona-based outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn, tailored to Provost, CIO, Student Success, and AI-differentiation messaging angles.
Log all prospecting activities, contacts, and outcomes accurately and consistently in our CRM.
Maintain organized, up-to-date pipeline records and follow-up cadences across all active outreach campaigns.
Partner with sales leadership to refine messaging, targeting, and outreach cadence based on what's converting.
Meet weekly and monthly appointment-setting targets in support of new business growth.
