- Compliance management: Ensure the factory and its supply chain adhere to national labor laws, environmental regulations, and standards set by customers and regulatory bodies.
- Audit coordination: Manage all internal and external audits, including those for social compliance (e.g., Sedex, BSCI) and quality/sustainability certifications (e.g., ISO, GOTS).
- Documentation control: Prepare and maintain comprehensive records related to certifications and audits, including reports, licenses, and official communications with authorities and regulatory bodies.
- Training and awareness: Conduct in-house training sessions for employees on key topics such as occupational health and safety (OHS), environmental standards, and ethical conduct.
- Improvement initiatives: Identify non-compliance issues through internal audits and monitoring. Develop and implement corrective action plans to resolve issues and achieve continuous improvement.
- Buyer relations: Serve as a key point of contact for buyers and buying houses regarding all certification and compliance matters, ensuring the company meets their specific standards.
