They are typically tasked with operating, maintaining, and repairing boilers and related equipment in various settings like power plants, manufacturing facilities, or ships. Key duties include maintaining water levels, steam pressure, burners, and fuel oil, as well as testing instruments and valves. Key Responsibilities of a Second Class Boiler Operator:

- Operating and Monitoring: Operate boilers and auxiliary equipment, monitoring gauges and meters to track operations.
- Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, cleanings, and repairs to keep boiler systems functioning optimally.
- Water and Fuel Management: Maintain water levels, fuel oil, and monitor chemical and fuel levels.
- Safety:



Adhere to safety protocols and manufacturer instructions.
