Role Description The Indirect Tax Assistant Manager is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This position involves managing day-to-day indirect tax compliance activities, including preparation and review of returns, reconciliations, and documentation for Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other applicable indirect taxes.
The role includes coordinating and supporting tax audits, responding to queries from tax authorities, and ensuring adherence to relevant laws, rules, and regulations. The Assistant Manager will analyze indirect tax implications of business transactions, support process improvements, and assist in implementing changes arising from regulatory updates. The position also entails collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients, preparing reports and working papers, and contributing to knowledge building within the indirect tax team.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge and practical experience in Indirect Taxation and Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Experience managing Tax Compliance processes, including preparation and review of indirect tax returns and reconciliations.
Exposure to Tax Audits and handling queries and documentation for tax authorities.
Solid understanding of general Tax concepts
