Role & responsibilities
- 4-8 years of progressive payroll, HR transformation, payroll implementation, HRIS, consulting, outsourcing, shared services, or related experience.
- Hands-on experience supporting payroll operations, payroll implementations, payroll system configuration, testing, data migration, or payroll transformation projects.
- Experience working across payroll implementation phases, including requirements gathering, process documentation, configuration support, testing, parallel runs, cutover, and go-live support.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, pay rules,
payroll calendars, payroll inputs, deductions, earnings, taxes, reconciliations, controls, and payroll compliance concepts.
- Knowledge of U.S. payroll regulations, payroll tax compliance, wage and hour requirements, and labor law considerations; exposure to multi-jurisdictional or international payrolls is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise payroll or HRIS platforms such as Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG Pro, Ceridian Dayforce, ADP, Paycom, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting client-facing meetings, requirements workshops, testing sessions, status updates, and issue resolution discussions.
- Familiarity with HRIS data migration, data mapping, data validation, payroll reconciliation, and parallel payroll run processes.
