Role Description The Workday Finance Functional Lead is a full-time role based in Bengaluru South, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home flexibility. This role is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday Financials modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and reporting.

The individual will collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate finance and accounting needs into Workday solutions,



and ensure system alignment with organizational policies and compliance standards. Day-to-day tasks include documenting business processes, managing configuration changes, overseeing testing and validation, resolving functional issues, and supporting end users through training and knowledge sharing.

Lead will also partner with technical teams on integrations and enhancements, and contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

- Strong Finance and Accounting skills, with experience in financial processes and controls.
- Ability to interpret and work with Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills for problem-solving, process optimization, and data-driven decision-making.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and delivering user training.
- Hands-on experience as a functional lead or consultant in Workday Financials (e.g., GL, AP, AR, FA, reporting).
- Proven background in ERP implementation or transformation projects within finance domains.
- Familiarity with compliance, audit requirements, and internal control frameworks related to financial systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, Workday certifications) are an advantage.
