Role Description This is a remote, project-based role focused on redesigning the Saamarthya Foundation website to better reflect its inclusive mission and improve user experience. The candidate will analyze the current site structure, identify usability and accessibility issues, and propose a current information architecture and visual design.

Day-to-day tasks will include creating wireframes or mockups, refining layout and navigation, optimizing content presentation, and ensuring compatibility across devices and browsers. The person will collaborate with team members to incorporate feedback, align with brand guidelines,



and implement accessibility standards for users with disabilities. The role may also involve basic content updates, testing redesigned pages, and documenting recommendations for future improvements.

Qualifications

- Understanding of web design principles, including layout, typography, color, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) best practices, including navigation and information architecture.
- Basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and common content management systems is beneficial.
- Awareness of web accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design for persons with disabilities.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to learn quickly, and openness to feedback and collaboration.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present design ideas clearly.
- Enrollment in or completion of a relevant program (design, computer science, media, or related field) is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated interest in social impact, disability inclusion, or nonprofit work is highly valued.
