What is this role, really?
At GrowthX, our marketing strategy is built on two principles - discovery and trust. Content drives both.

We’re looking for a Junior Video Editor who wants to deeply learn the craft of long-form YouTube editing by working closely with senior editors, writers, and producers.

This role is about learning how outstanding business content is made, not just cutting clips.



You’ll understand *why* edits work, how retention is built, and how storytelling meets business outcomes. If you’re curious, internet-native, and want to grow into a top-tier editor — this role gives you a steep learning curve with real responsibility.

What you’ll be doing?
Edit sections of episodes, rough cuts, assemblies, and assist in final edits under guidance.
Learn how to optimise for retention and average view duration, and apply feedback iteratively.
Work closely with writers, producers, and thumbnail designers to understand the intent and flow of each video.
Execute edits based on storyboards, scripts, and creative direction provided by senior team members.
Help maintain consistency in formats, pacing, visual style, and brand tone across videos.
Actively learn from references we admire like Vox, Johnny Harris, and Cleo Abram — especially how they balance education with storytelling.
