What I’m actually looking for:
Someone who doesn’t just ask, “What should I write?”
but first asks, “Why are we writing this?”
You should be someone who:
Gets why a piece of content needs to exist
Understands the person sitting on the other side of the screen
Knows that the same idea can be written 10 different ways depending on the audience
Can play around with words, hooks, storytelling and formats
Notices when something feels boring and knows how to make it engaging
Can write for social media without making everything sound like a corporate announcement
Is curious enough to research before writing
Can take feedback without taking it personally ?
And most importantly, wants to get better at writing every single day
