Position Overview
We are looking for a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Specialist to help build ILEM Japan's brand presence across social platforms. You will work closely with and report to the Sr. Social Media Strategist, taking ownership of day-to-day content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and influencer coordination. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who understands how modern brands grow through Reels, UGC, and storytelling, and who is eager to learn the strategic side of social media over time.

Roles & Responsibilities
● Support day-to-day management of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and emerging platforms under the guidance of the Sr. Social Media Strategist
● Execute the monthly content calendar, ensuring posts go out on time and align with brand guidelines
● Spot trends, memes, and cultural moments relevant to the brand and flag them for content ideation
● Conceptualize and create Reels, short-form videos, carousels, stories, and lifestyle content
● Write engaging captions, hooks,



and storytelling-driven copy for posts and campaigns
● Prepare content briefs for designers, photographers, and videographers, and coordinate product shoots
● Support user-generated content campaigns, from sourcing to reposting
● Assist with influencer and creator outreach, including gifting collaborations and basic coordination
● Respond to comments, DMs, and customer interactions to build an engaged, on-brand community
● Track content performance and social media metrics, and support weekly and monthly reporting
● Share customer insights and feedback gathered from social channels with the wider team

Required Skills & Experience
● 1-2 years of experience in social media, content creation, or influencer marketing; internships or a strong personal/brand portfolio are welcome
● Working understanding of Instagram and short-form video content
● Positive content ideation and storytelling instincts
● Comfortable spotting tren
