Job Description
RATE4GOLD is looking for an experienced Old Gold Buying & Selling Executive with robust knowledge of the jewellery and gold industry.
The candidate will be responsible for handling customers, evaluating gold jewellery, supporting buying and selling transactions, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring a professional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Handle customers visiting for old gold buying and selling.
Evaluate gold jewellery based on purity, weight and prevailing market rates.
Explain valuation and transaction details clearly to customers.
Coordinate gold buying and selling transactions.
Maintain accurate transaction records and supporting documents.
Verify required customer KYC documents.
Maintain transparency and accuracy during gold transactions.
Coordinate with accounts, operations and inventory teams.




Build good customer relationships and ensure service quality.
Maintain knowledge of current gold rates and jewellery-market practices.
Qualification & Requirements
Any degree, diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.
2–5 years of relevant experience in gold buying, jewellery sales, gold valuation or a related jewellery business.
Good understanding of gold purity, weight and valuation.
Strong customer-handling and negotiation skills.
Good communication skills in Tamil; basic English communication preferred.
Candidates currently residing in Chennai and able to commute easily to Mogappair West will be preferred.
Immediate or early joiners will be an advantage.
