Job Description

The Senior Consultant – PM (Land Services-PMO) will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of major UK infrastructure programmes across the aviation, highways, rail, energy and water sectors.

Working as part of the UK Land Services PMO team, the role will combine project management, PMO advisory, project controls and stakeholder coordination responsibilities to enable effective project and programme delivery. The successful candidate will independently lead defined PMO workstreams, provide strategic support to Project Managers and Project Directors, and contribute to the development of best practices, delivery methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

The role requires a proactive and commercially aware qualified who can provide meaningful insights to support decision-making. The individual will work closely with multidisciplinary project teams and client stakeholders. In addition to supporting project delivery, the Senior Consultant will contribute to capability development within the GCC, mentor junior team members,



support business development activities and help strengthen PMO excellence through innovation, digital solutions and knowledge sharing. Experience within complex infrastructure environments and an understanding of UK project governance, commercial management and programme delivery principles will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

PMO Governance & Project Controls

Independently manage PMO activities for assigned projects and programmes in accordance with project governance requirements.
Support development and maintenance of project execution plans, project management plans and governance documentation.
Monitor project performance against approved scope, programme, cost and quality baselines.
Produce and maintain project control documentation, reporting packs, dashboards and performance metrics.
