Role Description

We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot/Micronaut, and Kafka-based event-driven architectures, with a passion for building reliable and resilient distributed systems. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java. Build and enhance microservices using Spring Boot or Micronaut. Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka. Develop and consume RESTful APIs for seamless system integration. Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.



Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java application development. Solid proficiency in Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, and JVM concepts. Solid experience with Spring Boot and/or Micronaut frameworks. Hands-on experience with Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture patterns. Experience in developing RESTful APIs and Microservices. Strong understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous messaging. Experience with SQL and relational databases. Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies. Good problem-solving and debugging skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. Experience with monitoring and observability tools. Understanding of security best practices for microservices.
