Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a MAG Welder and Mechanic in the heavy construction equipment industry, based in Chennai. The role involves performing MAG welding on structural components and attachments for earthmoving and construction equipment, following safety and quality standards. The professional will diagnose mechanical issues,



carry out repairs and preventive maintenance on heavy machinery, and assist with assembly, fitting, and replacement of parts. Daily tasks include inspecting equipment, documenting work performed, coordinating with supervisors and service teams, and ensuring machines are returned to safe, reliable operating condition. The role also requires adherence to workplace safety procedures and collaboration with workshop and field teams to minimize equipment downtime.
Qualifications
Robust MAG welding skills, including ability to read welding drawings, select appropriate materials, and adhere to safety and quality standards.
Hands-on experience in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy construction or earthmoving equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, cranes, or similar machinery).
