Role Description The Volunteering Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad & Bangalore, responsible for coordinating and strengthening Nirmaan’s volunteer ecosystem. This role involves planning and executing volunteer engagement initiatives, managing volunteer onboarding and orientation, and maintaining accurate records of volunteer activities and impact.

The Volunteering

Executive will liaise with program teams to understand their volunteer requirements, match volunteers to suitable projects, and support them throughout their engagement. The role includes organizing events, trainings,



and outreach activities to attract and retain volunteers, as well as preparing regular reports and updates for internal stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications

- Experience in volunteer management, community engagement, or NGO program coordination, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate orientations, trainings, and meetings in a explicit and inclusive manner.
- Organizational and administrative skills to manage schedules, documentation, databases, and reporting related to volunteer activities.
- Basic project management abilities, including planning, prioritizing tasks, and supporting the execution of events and initiatives.
- Comfort with using productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, email and collaboration platforms) to track volunteer engagement and prepare reports.
- Demonstrated commitment to social impact, inclusion, and working with communities from diverse social and economic backgrounds.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in social work, development studies, management, or related fields is an advantage.
- Prior experience in the nonprofit sector or in managing volunteer or youth-led initiatives is preferred but not mandatory.
