Role Description The VMware Administrator L1 is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai, responsible for supporting and maintaining virtualized infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring VMware environments, handling basic incident tickets, performing routine health checks, and assisting with virtual machine provisioning and configuration under guidance.

The role involves troubleshooting Level 1 issues related to performance, connectivity, and resource utilization, and escalating complex problems to senior team members when needed. The VMware Administrator L1 will collaborate with the IT infrastructure team, follow standard operating procedures,



maintain documentation, and ensure adherence to security and compliance policies.

Qualifications

- Ability to work with VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including basic VM provisioning, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server operating systems and familiarity with fundamental networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure basics, including storage, backup, and resource allocation in virtualized environments.
- Solid troubleshooting, incident handling, and documentation skills, with the ability to follow standard processes and escalation paths.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with internal teams and service partners.
- Relevant education such as a diploma or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications like VMware VCTA/associate-level credentials or equivalent foundational training are an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Navi Mumbai, support rotational shifts if required, and learn advanced virtualization and cloud technologies over time.
