Role Description The Vibration Data Collector is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. In this position, the team member will use vibration measurement instruments and sensors to capture data from machinery and equipment as per defined procedures and schedules.

Daily tasks include preparing equipment for data collection, visiting designated sites within the facility, recording measurements, and ensuring accurate documentation of readings. The role involves organizing collected data, performing initial checks for anomalies, and collaborating with engineers and technicians to support analysis and maintenance planning.

The Vibration Data





Collector will also follow safety guidelines, maintain equipment, and assist in reporting and basic research activities related to vibration patterns and machine health.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Data Collection and Research, with the ability to follow standardized methods and procedures.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret basic trends, identify irregularities, and support technical teams with preliminary insights.
- Effective Communication skills for reporting findings clearly and collaborating with engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
- Ability to participate in and provide Training related to data collection practices, equipment handling, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with vibration measurement tools, sensors, and related software is highly beneficial.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and adherence to safety standards in industrial environments.
- Prior experience in condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, or mechanical/industrial settings is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
