Position: Junior Research Fellow / Research Associate Number of Positions: One Duration: One year and extendable subject to individual’s performance Eligibility Required Master's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.

Additional academic background or experience in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Desirable Qualifications

Proficiency in Geographic Information System (GIS) and ArcGIS software.

Working knowledge of SQL databases and queries.

Capability to manage environmental data analysis and spatial data visualization.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.





Robust communication skills for scientific documentation and presentations.

Prior experience or internships in research projects combining environmental studies and IT applications will be advantageous.

Responsibilities Under the supervision of senior research team members, the Junior Research Fellow / Research Associate will: Assist in designing and conducting environmental research using GIS and database tools.

Perform spatial analysis, database management, and data integration using ArcGIS and SQL.

Prepare maps, reports, and presentations to communicate spatial and environmental data effectively.

Support senior scientists in environmental data collection, management, and interpretation.

Collaborate with research teams to ensure efficient and accurate research outcomes.

Engage in continuous learning and application of emerging GIS technologies and methods.

Remuneration

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, up to Rs 45,000 per month for suitable candidates.
