Verizon is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Principal Security Engineer to join our Data as a Service (DaaS) & Analytics team. In this senior individual contributor role , you will act as the technical North Star for our analytics engineering teams, driving the cloud-native automation strategies required to expose critical enterprise security data via robust APIs and interactive dashboards. This is an execution-focused, "hands-on with code" position.
You will architect and build up-to-date data products, leveraging the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem to design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and serverless application architectures.

Architecting and optimizing large-scale security data repositories within Google BigQuery, ensuring efficient partitioning, clustering, and storage tiering to support multi-terabyte analytical queries.
Designing and implementing robust, low-latency data pipelines using GCP Dataflow services (Apache Beam) to ingest, transform, and aggregate batch and streaming data from disparate security sources into centralized data platforms.
Designing and maintaining optimized data layers using the GCP Cloud SQL (PostgreSQL engine) to support high-throughput analytics and data consumers.
