Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Java Solution Architect to lead the re-platforming and modernization of mission-critical IBM DB2/Mainframe applications onto Microsoft Azure. The role will drive target-state architecture, application modernization, cloud-native design, integration strategies,
and Infrastructure-as-Code standards while ensuring scalable, secure, resilient, and business-aligned solutions.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Java enterprise application architecture, Azure cloud platforms, legacy modernization, microservices transformation, and large-scale re-platforming initiatives, with a proven track record of migrating monolithic and mainframe-based systems to modern cloud-native architectures.
Key Responsibilities
Application Modernization & Re-platforming
Define the target architecture and modernization roadmap for migrating Mainframe/DB2 applications to Azure.
Lead re-platforming initiatives transforming legacy applications into cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
Define modernization patterns including decomposition, service extraction, API enablement, and event-driven architectures.
Balance business continuity, risk, scalability, cost, and operational effici
