Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Underground Drainage (UGD) Engineer to oversee the planning, execution, inspection, and maintenance of underground drainage and sewerage infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of UGD systems, site execution, quality control, and coordination with consultants, contractors, and government authorities.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise construction and installation of underground drainage (UGD) and sewerage networks.
- Review construction drawings, layouts, and BOQs for drainage works.
- Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor excavation, pipe laying, manholes, chambers, backfilling, and testing activities.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, surveyors, and utility agencies for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and local authority regulations.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Verify contractor bills, measurements, and material consumption.
- Identify technical issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure hydro-testing, leakage testing, and commissioning of drainage systems before handover.
- Maintain project documentation,



inspection records, and as-built drawings.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- 3–8 years of experience in underground drainage, sewerage, or water infrastructure projects.
- Experience in municipal infrastructure, residential townships, commercial developments, or industrial projects is preferred.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of UGD, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and pipeline construction.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Familiarity with surveying, levels, gradients, and pipeline alignment.
- Understanding of quality control procedures and HSE practices.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience working on government, municipal, or large real estate infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of relevant IS Codes and local authority standards for drainage systems.
- Experience in testing, commissioning, and handing over UGD projects.

Location: Science City, Ahmedabad Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
