The T1/T2 – Storage and Backup Infrastructure Junior Engineer is responsible for delivering advanced Tier1/Tier 2 support for the organization’s storage and backup environments. This role is focused on ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of critical storage and backup systems by proactively monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving complex technical issues. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to minimize service interruptions and maintain high data availability and integrity.
Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing enterprise storage arrays, backup solutions, and related infrastructure, as well as implementing best practices for data protection and disaster recovery. By maintaining and enhancing the storage and backup landscape, the T2 – Storage and Backup Infrastructure Support Engineer plays an essential role in supporting business continuity and safeguarding organizational data assets.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage storage solutions. Design, deploy, and maintain Storage Area Network (SAN), Network-Attached Storage (NAS), and cloud storage environments to meet company needs.
Monitor performance and capacity. Track storage system performance and utilization to identify bottlenecks and forecast future capacity needs. Implement performance tuning to optimize efficiency.
