We are seeking a seasoned SRE with a passion for cloud economics. Sitting at the intersection of Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, and Finance,



you will use your deep observability skills to instrument, analyze, and optimize our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) spend. Your goal is to balance system reliability with cost-efficiency, empowering product teams to build cost-aware, performant architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Observability & Telemetry: Design and implement robust cost telemetry using Google Cloud Billing export data, BigQuery, and Looker dashboards. Treat "cost" as a first-class system metric.
SLO-Aligned Cost Efficiency: Define Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) that balance performance with expenditure. Ensure over-provisioning isn't masking as reliability.
Anomaly Detection & Alerting: Build alerting pipelines for cost spikes and resource anomalies in Cloud Monitoring. Correlate sudden infrastructure spend with application logs, traces, and deployment events to identify the root cause of budget overruns.
