Role Summary

As an Application Engineer III, you will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting cloud-based applications and services for the Vanguard Charitable Gifting Platform. You will work on frontend, backend, API, and batch-processing components while contributing to platform modernization, production support, and the strategic transition of platform ownership to India.





Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Java and AWS technologies.
Develop and support RESTful APIs, backend services, and cloud-native solutions to meet business requirements.
Build and maintain frontend, backend, and batch-processing components of the Charitable Gifting platform.
Design, optimize, and manage database solutions using Aurora, RDS, Redshift, and SQL.
Participate in platform modernization initiatives, feature enhancements, and application upgrades.
Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure and reliable technology solutions.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident resolution activities.
Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and operational stability through best engineering practices.
