Job Purpose

The Principal Engineer – PC-Topp provides technical leadership for the PC-Topp product, ensuring its stability, maintainability, and continued evolution while supporting business and customer objectives. The role is responsible for driving the technical direction of the product, leading the resolution of complex engineering challenges, and ensuring high-quality software delivery across the product lifecycle.

The role serves as the primary technical authority for PC-Topp, collaborating with Product Management, Quality Assurance, Customer Support, and other engineering teams to deliver customer value, manage technical risk,



and guide future modernization initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

Own the technical direction and architecture of the PC-Topp product.
Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex product enhancements and customer-driven solutions.
Analyze and resolve critical technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
Provide technical leadership across the product, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural principles.
Collaborate with Product Management to evaluate technical feasibility, estimate effort, and define implementation strategies for roadmap initiatives.
Mentor and coach engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Identify technical risks, dependencies, and areas of technical debt, and develop mitigation plans.
