Role Description
The Business Development Associate, C&I; Renewable Energy is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi. The individual will be responsible for identifying and engaging C&I; consumers seeking renewable energy solutions, understanding their power requirements, and connecting them with suitable renewable energy service providers. The role involves developing and managing a strong business pipeline, building relationships with key stakeholders, coordinating with internal teams and renewable energy partners, and staying updated on state-wise renewable energy policies and market developments. This position offers the prospect to play a key role in expanding WattMatch’s renewable energy marketplace.
Qualifications
• 5–10 years of experience in the power or renewable energy sector.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in C&I; renewable energy procurement.
• Strong understanding of the Indian power sector, C&I; energy requirements, and renewable energy procurement models.
• Good knowledge of state-wise renewable energy policies, regulations, and market dynamics.
• Experience working with renewable energy developers, generators, or service providers is preferred.
• Prior experience with established renewable energy companies or power sector organizations is highly desirable.
• Candidates with utility power procurement experience who have transitioned into C&I; procurement will also be considered.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required; MBA is preferred.
