This position will responsible for hands-on execution of all the new probiotics and other current products Fermentation based process related work being carried out in Biotech R&D; lab.

1. Planning and execution of seed and production media preparation and sterilization of Glass and SS fermenter as per different products and project requirement.
2. Operation of process vessels, FSIP, ESIP, CIP system of fermenter.
3. Perform all upstream activities starting from vessel cleaning, assembly preparation, media preparation, feed preparation, and fermenter operations to batch harvest.
4. In-process product sampling, analysis and storage. Close monitoring of batch performance and data, SCADA etc.
5. Handling and operations of downstream related instruments, like centrifuge, Lyophilizer, spray dryer.
6.



Shake flask related activities like seed inoculation and media preparation.
7. Maintenance and operation of utility area i.e. Boiler, Chiller and Compressor. N2 and mixed gas stock maintenance.
8. Calibration of various laboratory instruments.
9. Preparation of GMP documents like SOPs, BMRs, Reports for upstream operations and other facility related operations.
10. Stock maintenance, storage, entry of received material, invoice copy verification etc.

Skills

1. Glass and SS Fermenter operation, Autoclave, utility (boiler, chiller, air compressor) operation
2. Microbiology related skills w.r.t. culture isolation, plating, analysis etc. and analytical skill of protein, carbohydrate, enzymes assay etc.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Timely good documentation.

Any other additional comments: Previous Experience of handling probiotics and Fermenters will be an added advantage.
