Job Description – Warehouse Manager (Packaging & Test Market Operations)






Location: Kolkata


CTC: ₹6–8 LPA


Reporting To: Operations Head




About the Role


The Warehouse Manager will be responsible to run day -to -day warehouse.
operations and order fulfillment across D2C, marketplaces, and B2B. This is an execution -first
role responsible for inventory accuracy, FIFO/expiry control, picking/packing quality,
dispatch coordination, and operational reporting.
This person will be the single point of accountability for ensuring every order leaves the
warehouse on time, correctly packed, and brand -right, with stock always matching reality.





Requirements

Key Responsibilities

A) Warehouse Operations & Inventory Control


● Own end -to -end warehouse functioning: receiving, put -away, storage hygiene, dispatch


readiness


● Maintain 100% inventory accuracy across SKUs, batches, and locations


● Track batch numbers, expiry dates, and ensure strict FIFO/FEFO practices


● Conduct cycle counts and periodic physical audits; reconcile discrepancies and


root -cause them


● Maintain stock thresholds and flag replenishment needs to the team in advance


● Maintain clean, organized warehouse layout and SKU bin/location mapping




B) Order Processing & Fulfilment (D2C + Marketplaces +B2B)


● Process and fulfil orders across channels:


○ D2C website orders


○ Marketplace orders (e.g., Amazon/others as applicable)


○ B2B orders (corporate / institutional / retail as applicable)


○ Other Special Orders (T.B.C)






● Ensure correct picking, packing, invoicing/labeling, and dispatch within defined timelines


● Coordinate with delivery/logistics partners for pickups, shipping labels, tracking, and


exceptions


● Handle operational escalations: RTO, damages, missing items, delays, address issues




C) Premium Packing & Presentation (Brand Execution)


● Ensure every shipment matches Casa Italiana’s premium gifting and unboxing standards


● Manage packing SOPs and packing SKUs, including (as applicable):


○ gift boxes / outer shipper cartons


○ tissue paper / protective inserts


○ seals / stickers / tapes


○ taste cards / story cards / thank -you notes


○ special handling labels (fragile, keep upright, etc.)


● Maintain packing material inventory and reorder thresholds


● Train packers (if applicable) on speed + precision + presentation




D) Trackers, Reporting & Process Discipline


● Maintain daily operational trackers (Excel/Google Sheets):


○ orders received vs dispatched


○ dispatch TAT and backlog


○ inventory movement (inward/outward/adjustments)


○ expiry dashboard and near -expiry actions


○ packaging material consumption






● Create straightforward weekly reporting for management: stock health, fulfilment performance,


issues log


● Follow SOPs and continuously improve workflows to reduce errors and delays




Ideal Candidate Profile


● 2–6 years experience in warehouse operations / fulfilment / e -commerce operations


● Strong familiarity with:


○ inventory handling and stock reconciliation


○ picking/packing/dispatch operations


○ basic logistics coordination and courier partner handling


● Experience in food/FMCG/consumables is strongly preferred (expiry + batch discipline)


● Comfortable working with basic tools: Excel/Google Sheets, order panels/marketplace

● Basic documentation: invoices, labels, returns tracking
