Role Description The Student Counselor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kozhikode.
The Student Counselor will meet with students to understand academic backgrounds, interests, and goals, and will provide guidance on suitable courses, institutions, and career pathways. Daily tasks include conducting one-on-one counseling sessions, maintaining accurate counseling records, and following up with students to track progress and satisfaction.
The role involves collaborating with internal teams to stay updated on educational programs, admission criteria, and application processes, as well as organizing informational sessions, workshops, or seminars.
The Student Counselor will also respond to inquiries, offer clear and empathetic communication,
and ensure a high standard of service throughout the counseling process.
Qualifications
Ability to provide effective Student Counseling and Career Counseling tailored to individual needs.
Strong Communication skills, including active listening and explicit, unbiased guidance.
Customer Service skills to manage inquiries, build rapport, and maintain a positive counseling experience.
Solid understanding of Education systems, academic pathways, and admission processes
Prior experience in academic or career counseling is highly desirable.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and maintaining organized records.
Capacity to work ethically, respect confidentiality, and support diverse student backgrounds.
