The Opportunity
The Finance/Budget Manager delivers financial reports and analysis to support UCF Facilities and Business Operations strategic goals. This role provides exceptional customer service by providing leadership with data-based actionable insights. It also fosters a culture of continuous improvement by developing a team of analysts and enhancing business processes.
Responsibilities
Financial Operations
Lead financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis for the UCF IT budget (~$90M+), providing insights to support decision-making.
Manage daily budget and accounting operations with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Leadership & Strategy
Partner with the CIO and UCF IT leadership to deliver data-driven analysis and financial recommendations aligned with their priorities.
Serve as a leader to a team of analysts, including hiring, coaching, developing, and recognizing staff.
Operational Excellence
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance business processes.
Promote a strong customer service mindset through responsive, solution-oriented support, and expertise.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience or combination of relevant comparable education and experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in financial reporting and analysis in direct support of senior or executive-level leadership.
4+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience in accounting.
