Accountabilities:




The Deputy Editor will manage high-impact editorial activities by applying scientific expertise, solid decision-making, and a deep understanding of academic publishing standards. This role requires independent ownership of manuscript evaluation, content strategy, stakeholder collaboration, and continuous improvement of editorial processes.
Review submitted manuscripts to assess scientific quality, relevance, originality, and alignment with journal scope.
Manage the full peer review process, including reviewer selection, invitations, feedback evaluation, and editorial decisions.
Make informed publication decisions, including acceptance, rejection, revision requests, and manuscript transfers.
Identify and escalate publication ethics, integrity, or compliance concerns following established procedures.
Evaluate revised submissions and author responses to ensure quality and completeness.
