This role is a critical senior level position to independently manage various contracts while understanding
businesses and balancing legal risk. The role will report into the Joint President - Legal who manages all
contracting and strategic advisory needs of the company.
The role will be the lead with business for various types of commercial contracts such as shipping contracts.
The role will independently deal with CXO – 1 level managers and other senior stakeholders.
The role will partner with mid and senior level business managers in various departments right from
procurement to marketing, to power and energy to CFD etc.
The role will work with little support and handholding from reporting manager to address the diverse
contracting needs of the business and implement relevant contracts with a hands on approach.
The role will be the SPOC for different business functions to understand and advise on multiple legal issue

The Cement Business has variety of legal issues, which make the job demanding and requires qualified knowledge coupled with quick response. The contracting needs of the business are evolving and this needs a astute business sense to independently draft and review various commercial contracts. For time to time various issues require legal representation to government or in courts. This requires a sharp understanding of law and research skills. High value or strategic commercial transactions require providing dynamic solutions and having experience with different structures. Negotiating needs experience and presence of mind to make correct arguments.
