Role Description

This full-time, on-site Telecom Project Engineer (civil) role is based in Port Blair. The role involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing civil works for telecommunications infrastructure projects, including tower foundations, equipment shelters, and cable routes. The engineer will collaborate with design teams, vendors, and site staff to ensure proper execution of project plans, adherence to technical specifications, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring project progress, managing resources, resolving site issues,



and preparing regular status reports and documentation. The role also requires supporting network deployment activities, conducting site inspections, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables within budget.

Qualifications

- Strong project coordination and Project Management skills for planning, execution, and monitoring of telecom civil works.
- Solid understanding of Telecommunications and Telecommunications Systems relevant to infrastructure deployment and operations.
- Knowledge of Telecommunications Engineering principles applied to civil design, installation, and integration of network assets.
- Experience with Network Optimization concepts to support efficient layout, capacity planning, and site utilization.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in telecom infrastructure are an advantage.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, site layouts, and structural designs.
- Familiarity with industry standards, local regulations, and HSE (Health, Safety, and Workplace) practices for construction sites.
- Effective communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on-site in remote locations.
- Relevant experience in telecom tower projects, fiber/cable civil works, or infrastructure rollouts will be highly beneficial.
