Social Media Editor, GQ India
Overview/Purpose:
GQ India is seeking an enthusiastic Social Media Editor to lead on day-to-day social posting and social media strategy for the GQ India team. Reporting into GQ Head of Editorial Content with a close working relationship with the Site Director. This role is responsible for daily posting across all social media channels, with a main focus on Instagram, and will also work in close collaboration with the editorial team and contributors to create social first content, including video. This position is also responsible for working with the editorial team on cover launches and features, commercial sponsorship deliverables and partnerships, attending and covering social rollout at events, and collaborating with the Global Audience Development Director on growth strategy.

Along with a passion for storytelling and attention to detail, the candidate must have in-depth social media experience and a proven history of growing social audiences. The role is intended for someone who cares deeply about the key topics we cover,



has strong journalistic instincts and writing skills, and is enthusiastic about joining an agile team. This person has an instinct for what’s on (and off) brand, has an eye for powerful visuals, understands how data can inform a smart editorial and social strategy, and is an expert at juggling multiple projects, managing deadlines, distilling social numbers into actionable insights, and advocating for solid social content for the brand.

Primary Responsibilities:
Uncovering potential stories, trends and themes from social platforms to feed into editorial output and storytelling
Day-to-day scheduling, editing and optimising of content on multiple social media platforms
Responsible for delivering on GQ India’s social KPIs: social views, follower growth and engagement
Master GQ India’s editorial tone of voice
Work closely with editorial stakeholders to roll out cover stories and features across social media p
